Our little peanut turned 4 months old today! We love this stage because Kara can smile, giggle and hold a conversation with you (well googoo & gaga if you understand that language!) throughout the day. She is quickly perfecting her grasp reflex and will easily grab a rattle and hold tight. It's exciting to watch her play on her activity mat now. She is really good at grabbing and holding onto the hanging toys.
Kara loves bath time, feeding time (we will be introducing the bottle tomorrow!) and of course nap time. She has been sleeping between 7-9 hours each night for the past week. I keep expecting her to change back to 5-6 hours but she seems to be sticking to at least 7 which is GREAT! My children LOVE to sleep- yay!
Peacock is her nickname because her hair likes to stand up in the back. It looks like a fan of feathers! She is starting to look more and more like her older brother....except for green/blue eyes and reddish/brunette with blond highlights hair! She has the cutest cheeks and chubby thighs. Kara is definitely teething and finally popped her first tooth (bottom right). It was a horrible 2 nights of crying/crankiness but we all survived. She is quite the Drama Queen!
We have Kara's 4 month wellness visit on Friday afternoon. She will receive more shots (not fun!) and we can't wait to find out her new stats. I weighed her today (with me on the scale) and it said she was just over 12 lbs. She is so petite!
Here are few pictures from today. Sorry the first few are fuzzy.
